If you're looking to have some fun playing slots, reconsider Celebrity cruise line. The casino staff said that there were many complaints about the machines and most sat idle during peak casino hours.
These things made no sense and gobbled money at a fast pace. These things were not fun slots should be mindless entertainment with an occasional cherry or some bars to keep you playing - for at least a while.
If you're looking for the great quarter 'wheel of fortune', 'double and triple diamond deluxe', 'wild cherry' and all the other great 'old school' machines, you will not find them on this ship. Every single machine was a $01 to $.05 variable denomination. Unfortunately the slot machines were an absolute disaster. Another plus was the casino staff unlike some ships, they were knowledgeable and well trained on table game etiquette, rules and pay outs. If you are a non-smoking gambler, that is very appealing. On the plus side, the casino (and the almost the entire ship for that matter) is non-smoking. I am not sure if the Summit is representative of all Celebrity ships, but I am sorry to report that the casino was a major disappointment. We recently returned from a cruise on the Celebrity Summit.
